WHAT IS IT?
Bristol is a sound system city. From trip hop to jungle, drum & bass and dubstep, it has shaped UK underground music and it mixes scenes like nowhere else. Nu Era Rave is built from this spirit.
We take the best of rave and club culture: the sound, the energy, losing yourself in the dance. And the best of ecstatic dance: presence, freedom of expression, consent, connection and community. Not quite a club night, not quite an ecstatic dance. The meeting point between the two, from Ace Collectiv and Ecstatic Dance Bristol.
A bridge between UK rave, sound system culture and conscious dance. An immersive clubbing experience where sound, movement and ritual meet.

DANCE FLOOR
The best of ecstatic dance brought to the club.
No phones. No chit-chat. Barefoot (if you want). Ask before making contact. Move how you feel.
It's a space to be fully here, with yourself and with each other.

OSARA
Extended 4 hour DJ set
through the history of UK rave and global club music: underground dance music, sound system and club culture meet ecstatic dance, folk, shamanic and organic sounds
Father, DJ and founder of Ace Collectiv. With Cymreig, Scottish and Sámi roots, Osara weaves ancient and future technologies of sound: drum, shakers and yoik-inspired vocals weaved into organic, underground and electronic dance music.
Alive in him is the spirit of ceremony, ritual and study of self. He’s deeply inspired by shamanic, ceremonial music and culture, intentional space holding and indigenous and animistic traditions from the Sámi people of Scandinavia, tribes from the Amazon Rainforest and his own indigenous roots of Cymru and Alba.
His dance journeys span genres from deep shamanic music, psychedelic folk, folktronica to African and world rhythms, deep dubstep, global bass, afro house, organic electro, percussive heavy 140 and club music, jungle, drum & bass, techno, plus all kinds of experimental edges in between.
His journeys are deep, driving and heart-opening, willing to meet shadow as well as celebrate light.
One of the UK’s leading ecstatic dance DJs and the first and longest-serving resident DJ (almost 8 years) for Ecstatic Dance UK in London.

BIOCHI ELIXIR BAR & TEMPLE KITCHEN
Open throughout, serving hot alcohol-free elixirs, sweet treats and a nourishing savoury Desert Sun Temple Bowl, made to replenish and sustain you as you move. Come and go as you need. Refuel, hydrate, ground, then return to the dance.
After the closing ceremony, stay for dinner and hang out until the venue closes at 9pm. Food and drinks are optional and bought separately.
LIVE DANCERS
Dancers on stage through the journey. Not choreography for show. Embodied, expressive movement that holds the energy of the room and invites you deeper into your own. Permission to let go, take up space and find your own way into the music.

L-ACOUSTICS sound system
Four stacks, four corners, one room. Sound arrives from every direction. Around you and through you, not at you. Club-level precision, depth and power. A field of sound you feel in your bones.
THE JAM JAR
Bristol’s beloved independent venue in St Jude’s. Warehouse bones, a proper dancefloor and a big warm heart. Independently run, community minded and built for sound. One of our favourite rooms in the city.
Central Altar · Chill Space · Kids Space · Alcohol-Free Bar
