Erotic Unfolding

Two-Day Intimacy Retreat with Ria Hope and Jote-Prakash

You are warmly invited to Erotic Unfolding, a two-day retreat for human beings who want to connect more deeply with their own erotic aliveness, whether you're new to this work or have explored it before.

The erotic is within all of us. It's your life force: the aliveness that you feel when you dance, when music moves you, when you're deep in meditation feeling connected to everything, or when you're deeply attuned to your ability to feel pleasure.

We all grow up in a world with very little education about relationships, sexuality and intimacy, so it's no wonder they can feel confusing. When we turn towards these things gently and with care, we discover so much about who we really are. We feel more alive, more connected to ourselves, and more able to build a life that feels true to our deepest desires.

Who is this for?
Couples, throuples+ and single people.
People who are curious about learning more about their erotic energy and how it flows in the body.
Those who want a slower, more gentle approach to doing intimacy work.
For those who know there's more to their erotic lives than they are currently experiencing.
Humans on a spiritual path who wish to integrate sexuality, sensuality + connection as part of their journey.
Those who long for deeper connection with themselves, other people and the world around them.
People of any sexual orientations - queer and trans folk are welcome.

Our approach:
We believe that understanding and integrating sexuality is an essential part of living a happy balanced life.
We believe in starting slow and honouring the nervous system throughout.
We believe in staying rooted in the body and not rushing towards peak experiences.
We believe that sexual energy is life force energy and when harnessed can expand our creative potential.
We want to create spaces where we can let go of the shame and fear we have around our erotic aliveness and step into our collective liberation!
We believe this work should be accessible to all.

THE JOURNEY

Through embodied consent and boundaries practices, conscious touch, breath, movement and energy practices, and grounded teachings on sexual energy, we'll take you on a slow-paced, trauma-informed journey back to your own aliveness.

We want to create a space where you can gently peel back any shame, fear or old stories that are stopping you from experiencing deeper connection, lean into play, fun and surrender as part of the journey, and discover the healing that's available when you work with erotic energy without pressure.

There will be many moments to check in with yourself, stay within consent, and choose how deeply you engage. There are whole worlds available when we slow down, breathe and feel - this space encourages exactly that.

DAY ONE: Foundations
Can be booked on its own - or as the first half of the full weekend.

Day one lays the foundations for erotic exploration. We'll share key skills that make this work safe and nourishing: sensing your yes, no and maybe, feeling energy move in your body, and staying present with pleasure. You'll spend time getting to know your own erotic energy, and begin exploring how to bring it into connection with others.

What's included:

  • Opening ceremony to set your intentions
  • Teachings on conscious sexuality and erotic energy
  • Embodied consent and boundaries practices
  • Solo energy practices to feel and build erotic energy in the body
  • Partner exercises to build connection and trust
  • Breath, dance and movement
  • Meditation, integration and closing circle

Simple, hearty vegan lunch included.

DAY TWO: Going Deeper
For those who've joined day one.

Day two builds on these foundations and takes us deeper into relational play. We'll step into the world of conscious kink, playing with power dynamics, surrender and the parts of our desire we've been taught to hide. Through live demos and transmissions, we'll show you what erotic journeying can look like, then guide you to explore it yourself, always with consent and care.

There is no genital touch at this event. There is an option for more nudity on day two, but underwear always stays on, and you're always invited to take part at whatever level feels right.

What's included:

  • Consent and boundaries practices in connection
  • Playing with power dynamics, witnessing and surrender
  • Erotic journeying, with live demos and transmissions
  • Guided conscious touch
  • Co-regulation and space to rest
  • Integration and closing ceremony

Simple, hearty vegan lunch included.

About Ria

Ria Hope is a sexuality and intimacy mentor, somatic facilitator and ceremonial space holder with 8 years experience in the field of sexuality. Punk at heart and a yogi in practice, she sees erotic aliveness as a path to personal and collective liberation.

Her work is where the Mahāyoga Siddha lineage meets the earth-based wisdom of the British Isles, somatic practice, IFS parts work, queer theory and conscious kink. She is deeply committed to decolonial, anti-oppressive and queer-inclusive ways of holding space, and to honouring the roots of the traditions she carries.

Ria is the founder of several, intersectional sex-positive communities and she brings a rare mix of depth, groundedness, playfulness and fun to everything she offers. Her intention is simple: to help people shake off inherited shame, come home to their bodies and step into who they really are.

FAQ

Do I need to come with a partner?
No. Many people come on their own, and you'll be guided to connect with others (if you desire to) at a pace that feels good for you.

Will I have to touch or be touched?
No. Every practice is an invitation. You can choose to watch, take part in a different way or rest.

Do clothes stay on?
On day one clothes will stay on, on day two there will be options for nudity. Pants/underwear will always stay on.

I've never done anything like this before. Is that OK?
Absolutely. This retreat welcomes newcomers. If you are very new to this or feel like staying only with yourself, we recommend just signing up for Day One only. You can always book on for Day Two if you decide you want to go deeper.
We start slowly, explain everything as we go, and there's plenty of space for questions. You never have to do anything you don't want to.

What should I wear and bring?
We will share a ‘what to bring’ list when you sign up.

Can I come to day two only?
No. Day two builds on the skills from day one - it's only open to those who join for the full weekend.

I want to come but I am struggling financially?
Please email us at riahopetherapies@gmail.com - we would love to make it possible for you to attend.

What's the cancellation policy?
There are no refunds but you are able to sell your ticket onwards to someone else.

Much Love,

Ria + Jote-Prakash
