OSARA on Bench Tor - Ecstatic Dance in Nature (with Soundboks Speaker!)

OSARA is not to be missed! 
Especially, with a powerful speaker on a sunset hill over looking the Dart forest Valley :) 
We have done this before and it was epic! 

Expect a full spectrum embodiment journey combining the worlds of underground, organic and electronic dance music with prayer, intention and celebration to awaken and activate your true unique self.

Osara is one of the leading Ecstatic Dance DJs in the UK, founder of ACE COLLECTIV and longest serving resident DJ for Ecstatic Dance UK in London. Believe it or not we started Nature Dance Devon together back in  Covid times. :)

MEET SPOT : Venford Reservoir
MEET TIME :  6pm 
WALK LEAVES : 6.30pm  (Be ready) 
OPENING  : 7.30pm  
CLOSING  : 9.30pm -ish 
AFTERWARDS : We will see if there is energy and weather to sit with a fire under the stars afterwards🔥

💟 IMPORTANT AWARENESS

Dancing in wild places like this is a deep joy and yet it  carries an element of risk taking.  Be aware that we have  have not sought permission to dance on Bench Tor. With  a speaker it is possible to get complaints and even get a visit from a friendly police officer. This has only happened once before and the officer was quite content to let us be, after we explained we were leaving in less than 2 hours. In fact, he stood on a rock and enjoyed the sunset with us. We cannot unfortunately guarantee we will not be asked to stop.

💟 WALK : 

Approx 30 minute walk up to our spot. Terrain is moorland, so smalls paths through the bracken and gauze.

💟 MUSICAL JOURNEY  (approx 1.40 hrs) 

OSARA finds musical inspiration from many cultures, especially sound system and underground club culture of the UK and around the world. Expect a beautiful and unexpected mix of the deeper, darker and soul invigorating sounds of electronic dance music - 140, Jungle, Techno, Afro House, Folktronica, Organic Electro as well as Folk, Celtic, World and South American music and more.

We want to give  as clear of a picture as possible of what to expect : 

THIS EVENT WILL BE A : .

• Community Dance  : Still a Deep-Dive Dance Journey, although a little more open and relaxed for socialisation if thats what you choose.

💟 BRING  🎒 

• Ample Water  (More than you think)
• A Rug to sit / lie on
• Suitable Clothing (could be windy)
• A jacket with hood if a chance of rain.
• Your Personal Intention to Dance.
• A light for the return walk.

💟 KIDS 👦

So welcome, although please  be aware as there is a bit of steep drop down to the river. All young children must be tended. (We cannot take any official responsibility for children who attend. Although I will ask everyone to support parents as a community) 

💟 TIME FLOW ⏰
Please be aware that due to the variable nature of dancing outdoors, our event times may vary slightly. Often  it can take folks time to land and settle in a wild environment. It really helps if people arrive on time and gather quickly when you are called to begin. While we'll do our best to stay on schedule, we appreciate your patience if things run a bit longer than expected. Thanks for your understanding!

Please take care on the  rocks and  be aware (especially of children) playing on the steep faces, 

NOTE : By booking this event you acknowledge that I do NOT accept responsibility for your personal safety on the walk, during, before or after the dance. Please take care of yourself and one another. If this doesn’t work for you then please don’t book a ticket. 

💟  WEATHER  💟  

We pray for fair weather and yet we cannot control the skys. 
We may have to change locations or cancel the event if the weather doesn’t make it viable. 
Full refunds will be given in the event that we have to cancel.

💟 Headphones or Speaker? 🎧 

For this event we use SOUNDBOKS speaker which is basically the most powerful battery powered speaker that can be carried to such a remote place! It packs a decent punch.

Tickets are non-refundable unless an event is cancelled or postponed. In the event of a postponement, you will have the option to either keep your ticket for the rescheduled date or apply it to any future Nature Dance event. Additionally, tickets are transferable and can be sold or passed on to others if you’re unable to attend. 

Many of our events sell out, so if you cannot make it, please do pass on your ticket to ensure someone else has the chance to join in.
