 Outdoor Ecstatic Dance - with Speakers 

 Part of a Beltane Day of 2 Events Back2Back

Revel in the bursting and blooming potential of Beltane - the Celtic threshold between winter and summer.

Inspired by Yoko Ono and John Lennon’s legendary protest performance ‘bed in’ in 1969, 
we are coming together to dance, play and pray for peace.

Amidst the redwood forest of The Glade in Dartington the incredible Gaia Harvey Jackson will offer an uplifting, cheeky and soulful dance journey celebrating musicians of the last 100 years campaigning for peace and change.

Her music is playful, sassy and a little bit naughty blending together world music with house, techno and dnb. 

What to expect:

• Opening ceremony
• Guided dance journey with soundsystem
• Fire side songs
• Co-created art mandala for peace (BRING EXTRA FLOWERS FOR THIS)
• Heart-blossoming cacao from Kristina.

Then Later : 

The Wheel of the Year Collective will offer a Beltane Ceremony (5-8pm)
 with Special guest Briony Greenhill, and other artists sharing at the fireside.🤍 
 There will be hot food available to buy between the events.

💟 DANCE LOCATION  :

The Glade is a gorgeous woodland venue with everything we need including a lovely fire-area, a small dome and lots of space to dance immersed in the trees. The walk and space is naturally adorned with the myriad magnificence of nature natural bounty of flowers.

💟 PARKING /WALK : 

Parking is at the top of the trail by 'Earth-Wrights'. This link has the parking locations and some further narrative on the walk from the parking into the woods to the venue. Please allow enough time to walk the short woodland path from the car park.

💟 MUSIC STYLE  (approx 1.40 hrs) 

Eclectic multigenre set ranging from world music to down tempo tribal, house, techno, dnb, and some old school classics from the 60’s 70’s, 80’s And 90’s.

💟 FACILITATOR

Gaia is a multi-faceted facilitator, Ecstatic Dance DJ, and relationship coach dedicated to holistic healing and personal transformation. Drawing on cornerstones of authentic relating, embodiment, meditation, and ritual, she creates spaces that are simultaneously deep, wild, playful and compassionate.

Gaia has worked with major festivals and organisations including Medicine Festival, The Psychedelic Society, Acecollective, and EDUK. In 2020 she co-founded True Nature - a platform for women’s empowerment- where she leads their flagship retreats and facilitator training programmes on Dartmoor.

We are blessed with Kristina providing the rich, healing medicine of Cacao. 
Ensure that you  book your cup in advance and bring a cup if you can.

We want to give  as clear of a picture as possible of what to expect : 

THIS EVENT WILL BE A : 

• Community Dance  :  Although we will be asking that people do not chat on the dancefloor.

💟 BRING  🎒 

• Ample water  (More than you think)
• Extra Flowers for offering to the space
• Cup for cacao
• A rug to sit on
• Suitable clothing  to dance and layers to stay warm.
• A jacket with hood if a chance of rain.
• Your personal intention to dance.

Tickets are non-refundable unless an event is cancelled or postponed. In the event of a postponement, you will have the option to either keep your ticket for the rescheduled date or apply it to any future Nature Dance event. Additionally, tickets are transferable and can be sold or passed on to others if you’re unable to attend. 

Many of our events sell out, so if you cannot make it, please do pass on your ticket to ensure someone else has the chance to join in.
