Throughout the journey, you may feel primal, tribal, airy, fiery, soft, sensual, wild, joyful, emotional or still. All is welcome.

Ecstatic Dance Temples is a regular offering held by DJ Akara Heart — a space to move, release, express and come home to yourself through rhythm, movement and deep inner presence 🩷

Sacred dance facilitator and founder of the Sacred Temple Arts Mystery School, Akara Heart creates immersive, body-led sound journeys that invite deep embodiment, liberation and remembrance.

With a lifelong devotion to music and movement, and a background as a professional dancer and dance teacher, Akara comes fully alive in these spaces — weaving magic, presence and sacred temple codes into the field.

Her sets are a rich tapestry of melodic house, Afro and organic house, tribal and world fusion, Balearic beats, downtempo bass and ethereal electronica. Each track is carefully selected to create a journey of upliftment, connection and transformation.

Guiding a living wave of rhythm, Akara takes dancers from deep grounding connection with the earth, through sensual grooves and ancestral textures, into expansive, euphoric, heart-opening peaks.

This is more than a dancefloor — it is a temple in motion.

A space to return to your body, awaken your spirit and express what longs to be felt and moved.

7:00–7:15pm — Opening circle & optional ceremonial cacao

7:15–8:45pm — Ecstatic Dance Journey

8:45–9:00pm — Sound integration & landing

By 9:15pm — Closing circle completion

🌿 WHAT TO EXPECT 🌿

This is a substance-free, free-form movement space where you are invited to explore your body exactly as it wishes to move.

Listen deeply to your body in each moment and allow the music to guide you inward. You are welcome to express your wild self, your soft self, your joyful self, your tender self — all of you is welcome here.

The journey is held through evolving soundscapes designed to support upliftment, connection, joy, embodiment and transcendence — carefully curated by Akara, who has been teaching sacred dance and facilitating movement spaces for over a decade.

✨ Comfortable clothing you can move freely and joyfully in
✨ Water bottle to stay hydrated
✨ A sheepskin or yoga mat if you wish, for comfort, rest and landing during the sound integration
✨ A blanket or shawl for warmth and integration at the end
✨ Feel free to dress up if it lights you up — wear whatever helps you feel radiant and most fully yourself ✨
✨ An open heart and a willingness to meet yourself exactly as you are

The floor is heated throughout the winter months 🌿

Barefoot dancing is warmly welcomed and encouraged.

This is a substance-free ceremonial space, held with intention, presence and care.

We invite you to gently set phones aside, allowing yourself to fully arrive, connect and immerse in the experience.

This is a consent-based space. We communicate primarily through non-verbal connection. When engaging with others, attune, listen and feel for mutual openness.

If you do not wish to engage, a simple gesture — such as hands in prayer at the heart with a soft nod — is a clear and respected “no.”

We move with deep respect for ourselves, one another and the shared field we co-create.

This is a spoken-free space on the dance floor, supporting a deeper journey inward and a more embodied connection through movement.

£20 on the door.

Capacity is limited to 20 people, so booking in advance is recommended.
