Originally from South Africa and now based in Devon, Rowan Stuart creates atmospheric alternative pop from the space between imagination and reality. Soulful vocals, expressive guitar, live looping and cinematic layers come together to create immersive songs that move between the intimate and the otherworldly.
Rowan has released six solo albums and several EPs, and has been performing across the South West since moving to the UK in 2024. His latest single, Make Believe, was featured by BBC Music Introducing.
For his Autumn series of performances, Rowan strips the music back to its essentials, creating a more intimate setting for songs, stories and the atmosphere between them, while retaining the sense of wonder and imagination at the heart of his music.
Rowan returns to the Moor Imagination Centre in Buckfastleigh on Friday 9 October for an intimate solo performance.
