A selection of creative and reflective gatherings are taking place across Sheffield. At Dana Cafe in Crookes, the Earring Making Workshop welcomes beginners and craft lovers aged twelve and up to sew their own fabric earrings, choose textures and shapes, and add embellishments like beads or embroidery under the guidance of tutor Helen.
Over in Highfield, Ecstatic Dance with Reya offers a barefoot, sober movement session at Highfield Trinity Methodist Church. Participants dance without steps or chatter to a live DJ set moving through all genres from classical to drum and bass, followed by a closing circle. Meanwhile, in Meersbrook, HOMELY TRUTHS: a cosy evening of stories invites people to Kopi and Chai for an intimate gathering. Guests can listen to storyteller Yoyo share a tale alongside live song from Iona and hosting by Dave, with the option for attendees to share their own stories from floor cushions and blankets.
