You're invited to join Futurecraft's second day retreat at Emerge Lakefront, Stockholm.
Futurecraft retreats balance intelligent discussion of emerging social, technological and ecological trends with play, somatics, song and ritual, aiming to create prefigurative spaces where we can experience the futures of our longing, today. This will be our second day retreat in Sweden, following week-long retreats in the UK, Portugal, Costa Rica (Brave Earth) and France (Feÿtopia).
Our day at Lakefront includes movement and craft, a consideration of wiser approaches to technology, a playful exploration of wholeness, and delicious vegan food. Whether you've joined a Futurecraft event before or this is your first encounter, you're welcome here.

Schedule
10.00-10.15 Welcome
10.15-12.00 Crafting futures through movement with Laura Gottleib
Through movement and craft, we'll have the opportunity to explore the futures of our longing, and to reflect on where we are in our own journeys in an instinctual and embodied way.
12.15-13.30 Lunch by Catarina Allen
A delicious vegan, gluten-free lunch
13.30-14.30 Wiser approaches to technology with Stephen Reid
Ask what technology is doing to us and you tend to get one of two answers. Either it's ruining us — our attention, our privacy, our politics — or it's about to save us, if we can just build fast enough. The argument between these two sides often crowds out the questions that actually matter: what kinds of technology, built how, by whom, governed through what mechanisms, in service of what? This session will invite sharing on the impact technology is having on our lives, before exploring wiser alternatives.
14.30-15.00 Fika
A pause to connect and recharge
15.00-17.00 Compassion to creation: a playful return to wholeness with Deniz Liebert
We live in a world that so desperately asks of us to turn towards. Towards ourselves, and each other. Towards our current systems, and our future. Towards our grief and our joy. Towards both what is and what could be. Welcome to a playful exploration of the world that could emerge when we reclaim our wholeness and tap into our potent creativity. This session will feature ‘non-performative’ performance, the power of community, and compassion, to turn towards what we’ve turned away from.
