Two community events in Somerset offer spaces to gather, move and reflect. In Glastonbury, St Benedict’s Church hosts the Community Grief Tending Ritual – Honouring Our Ancestors, organised by the Sacred Death Centre, Eartha Love and Jason Kalidas. Open to anyone carrying sorrow, whether from bereavement, a changed relationship or an ending in life, the gathering includes somatic movement, breathwork, guided movement with oils, journalling, prayers and music featuring the Bansuri flute and Tanpuras.

Meanwhile, Dreamweavers holds Yurtopia Sunday Dance & Sauna at its Mongolian yurt on Prestleigh Road in Evercreech. Designed for anyone wanting to step away from daily busyness and reconnect with their body, the gathering begins with an unchoreographed dance session guided by music from resident DJ Chris Bullzini, followed by time in a wood-fired sauna with a cold plunge bath.

Couples, partners and friends looking to spend meaningful time together can head to the Avalon Centre on King Street in Glastonbury for the Valentines Couples Massage Workshop. Hosted by massage therapists Ellise and Cecilia, the session invites pairs to slow down and discover conscious touch without needing any prior massage experience.

The day focuses on establishing communication, boundaries and safety before moving on to simple, nurturing full-body massage techniques to take home. Both partners will have the opportunity to take turns giving and receiving, exploring trust, consent and the art of surrender through loving touch. Attendees are asked to wear comfortable clothing and bring along two large towels per couple.
