Devon offers a varied mix of community gatherings, art and storytelling today. In Dawlish, Beyond the Material opens its doors at The Good Space. Visitors can drop in to join a collaborative slow-stitch project, honour ancestors at an altar, and sample local teas; children are welcome under supervision, alongside well-behaved dogs. Meanwhile, dancers can head to Pondfield in Dartington for Outdoor dance on the land, a drop-in conscious dance session run by Robert with music played through solar-powered speakers.

In Buckfastleigh, the Moor Imagination Centre hosts two back-to-back events. Storytellers Henry Everett and Hannah Sneyd present Beyond the Veil: Samhain Storytelling, sharing bewitching original and traditional tales aimed at adults, though children are welcome too. Directly following the tales, the venue hosts the family-friendly November Community Meal, serving up baked jacket potatoes and beans while guests bring their own toppings to share.
