Community celebration and personal wellbeing are on offer across the region today. At the Moor Imagination Centre, GATHER - Open House at MIC welcomes all ages and families for a pay-what-you-can social evening. Guests can mark the centre securing Historic England funding to repair its building, and celebrate the launch of the new MIC Café and Food Circle with food tasters, drinks, games, music and ping pong. The café will be open throughout, with local cooks sharing their plans for future community cooking and supper clubs.

Meanwhile in Devonport, Juliet Leonard leads Kundalini Activation PLYMOUTH at Space To Move Studio on Charles Darwin Road. The two-hour session involves a direct energy transmission designed to clear negative energies and raise consciousness. It requires no previous experience or faith, as participants receive the transmission passively, though it is not suitable for those with epilepsy, schizophrenia, mania or pregnancies over seven months.

A recent gathering brought community members together in Ideford, near Newton Abbot, for an evening of shared sound and reflection. Hosted at the Namaste Barn Yoga and Meditation Studio and Retreat, Kirtan with Elise & Charlie Premanjali invited people to take part in traditional chanting and devotional music. The session gave attendees of all backgrounds a chance to sit together and participate in call-and-response singing led by the two musicians. Those who joined the circle valued the uplifting feeling in the room, warmly praising the beautiful quality of the music and the warm spirit fostered throughout the studio. Nobody suggested any changes to the format, with the gathering leaving its singers refreshed and deeply thankful for the shared experience.
