Those looking to mark the season have two distinct gatherings to choose from across the district. In Nailsworth, Warrior and Wild hosts a relaxing Sound Bath designed to help people unwind and reset. Open to anyone with no experience needed, the session starts with gentle breathwork and meditation before attendees settle into a rest accompanied by singing bowls, voice and sound healing instruments. Mats, blankets and bolsters are provided for comfort.

Later in the evening, Stroud Baptist Church Hall welcomes dancers of all sorts for the Samhain Fairy Tale Ceilidh. Led by storyteller and caller Hannah Moore alongside folk musicians Paul Hutchinson and Matt Norman, the party weaves wild Halloween tales across the dance floor. The celebration is open to everyone, with family tickets recommended for ages eight and up, and fancy dress is very welcome.
