Community gatherings across the area offer several chances to unwind and connect today. At Studio Eight in Wells, visitors can attend Fire cider and inner fire circle to learn about the traditional benefits of fire cider, make their own organic blend to take home, connect with crystals, and join in a guided chakra meditation.

Over at the Dreamweavers yurt in Evercreech, Yurtopia Sunday Dance & Sauna welcomes anyone looking to step away from daily busyness. The gathering features unchoreographed movement and dancing guided by a resident DJ, followed by time in a wood-fired sauna and a cold plunge bath. Later, Rode and District Memorial Hall hosts Deep Rest Connection, an intimate session for up to ten people that combines gentle yoga asana, intuitive movement, and non-linear yoga, finishing with a yoga nidra practice.

Feedback report

Two gatherings around Frome have drawn warm praise from those taking part, with people appreciating the balance of facts and the caring atmosphere on offer. In woods near the town, Fungi After Dark FROME: Biofluorescent Fungi & a Spooky UV Woodland Walk on the Eve of Halloween guides walkers beneath the trees to view mushrooms glowing under ultraviolet light. Those out on the trail welcomed the careful amount of information shared and found looking at the strange night-time growths both fascinating and useful for reinforcing what they had picked up on earlier outings.

Meanwhile, over at the Tri.Art Dance Academy on Marshall Way, dancers gathered for Friday Night Dance with Sophie Bolton. Attendees valued the genuine care and safe space created by the host, explaining that the evening helped them untangle their tensions, let go into the movement, and feel genuinely uplifted in heart and spirit.
