Meanwhile, singers of all abilities can head to Ashburton Town Hall for the Over the Moon (Drop-in Community) Choir. Led by Faith Burch, the monthly gathering teaches harmony songs from around the world just for fun, with no auditions or term-long commitments required.

Those looking to move can make their way to St Thomas in Exeter for 5Rhythms | Sunday Waves | Exeter. Feedback report

Recent gatherings across Devon have given locals plenty to talk about. Families heading to the Moor Imagination Centre praised The Mythic Parlour - Stories For All, where children of all ages gathered to hear traditional tales, songs, and playful improvisations. Parents noted how well the host kept a busy room of youngsters listening throughout.

Meanwhile, Dartington’s North Woods provided the setting for the Samhain Ceremony. Attendees gathered in circles indoors and out around the fire to reflect, honour ancestors, and share food afterwards. Participants spoke warmly of the open sense of belonging created by the ceremony, appreciating how ancestors were framed to include nature alongside people. A few visitors suggested that finding the woodland spot could be made simpler with clearer directions for newcomers, and one person noted the evening ran slightly late, but the gathering left people keen to return.
