We've just returned from Breaking Convention, Europe's largest psychedelic science conference with our minds blown and our hearts overflowing! Our team spent an incredible weekend immersed in cutting-edge research and profound discussions that have left us inspired, invigorated, and deeply reminded of why we do this work.
As many of you know, this biennial gathering represents a crucial touchpoint for our community. Two years ago, the message centered on pausing - acknowledging that the psychedelic renaissance was moving rapidly and required careful, respectful integration. This year marked a powerful shift toward action. The conversations focused on tangible ways to bring not just psychedelics themselves, but their transformative mindset into public consciousness.
The question on everyone's lips: How can we create communities and societies that embody the wisdom these substances offer us -acceptance, unity, comfort with ambiguity, and balance?
Discussions at the conference explored how psychedelic experiences often reveal insights about interconnectedness, impermanence, and the limitations of ego-driven thinking – perspectives that could potentially transform not just individuals but entire social structures.
Many highlighted the importance of community-based integration circles where transformative experiences could be collectively processed outside a clinical setting; workplace cultures transformed by non-hierarchical thinking and emergent intelligence; and new approaches to conflict resolution and ecological stewardship emerging from psychedelic-inspired states of consciousness.
These concepts represent possibilities rather than established models – they point toward what some describe as a potential "cultural response" to the individualism and disconnection characteristic of modern life. The central idea remains that wisdom gained through altered states could become embodied in everyday structures and relationships.
This question couldn't be more timely, and we're excited to channel this energy into our upcoming events. Each offering below represents an opportunity to explore these themes together, to learn, connect, and grow as a community committed to conscious transformation.
