A new gathering listed on Dandelion invites people to explore spontaneous ritual performance near Totnes. In Ipplepen, Bears Cave: Ritual Theatre will bring participants together to work with movement, meditation, somatics and embodiment. Led by artist Alana Bloom, the evening starts with guided preparation before attendees enter a circle to perform whatever emerges in the moment, through forms such as poetry, song, dance, clowning or improvisation.

The session is open to anyone curious to take part, and no background in theatre or performance is required. It is designed simply as a creative space to be witnessed rather than a personal development course, so the organiser advises that it may not suit people currently navigating a crisis or struggling with their mental health. Entry operates on a pay-what-you-can scale to help cover the venue costs.
